Moab is home to an award winning brewery and a handful of watering holes that will guarantee you will NOT be thirsty on your visit. With names like Derailleur Ale, Black Raven Oatmeal Stout or Scorpion Pale Ale you may end up carting a few growlers (huge jug of beer with cap) back to the campsite or hotel with you.

One of our favorite stops after a day playing in Canyonlands. Great food and great beer. They have a separate dining and bar area. Billiards and TV are available in the bar area. The Black Raven Stout is to die for.... On weekends get here early or prepare to wait.

We like the food and raucous atmospher of Eddie McStiff's. Great selection of beers and the food is great too. A great choice after a day of playing outside.

One side of Zax is an all you can eat brick oven, gourmet pizzeria. Yes, that's what I said and it gets better. The other side is a pub with pool tables and wide screen TV's.

You can buy domestic and imported beer, wine and liquor in Moab. Where you can buy each is what you'll want to take note of.

Domestic and imported beers containing 3.2% alcohol may be purchased seven days a week in grocery and convenience stores. So, if you want Budweiser, Amstel Light, Heineken, Dos Equis, Miller, Corona and local micro brews like Wasatch Brewing, Moab Brewing and Uinta Brewing these are available almost all the time. We highly recommend the Polygamy Porter, Evolution Amber Ale, Kings Peak Porter and Raven Stout. To view some local brews before you arrive please visit:

DUI Penalties:

Don't drink and drive, it's that simple. It is against the law in Utah to drive a motor vehicle when your blood alcohol content is .08 percent or more. If you are caught the penalties are (1) Automatic confiscation of driver's license (2) Car impounded (3) Criminal charges levied, arrested, incarcerated (4) Driver's license revoked.
