There are about 38 spots in Canyonlands National Park available for RV camping. They are all offered on a first come, first served basis. No reservations. These spots fill up quickly every day from late March and the rest of the summer. Information about the two campgrounds is below. During busy times of the year you'll want to research your options for a spot on BLM campgrounds outside the park or within the town of Moab, Utah nearby.
Willow Flat Campground
Located at the Island in the Sky, the Willow Flat
Campground is a short walk from one of the finest
sunset spots in the park: Green River Overlook. Twelve
sites are available on a first-come, first-served
basis. Sites include picnic tables, fire grates and
vault toilets. No water. Maximum RV length is 28
feet. Group size limit is 10 people and 2 vehicles.
Fee is $10 per night. Willow Flat typically fills
every day from late March through June and again
from early September to mid-October. All sites are first-come, first-served.
Squaw Flat Campground
Located in
the Needles, Squaw Flat Campground is an ideal base
camp for day hikes to popular destinations like Chesler
Park, Druid Arch and the Joint Trail. There are
26 sites available on a first-come, first-served
basis. Bathrooms, fire grates, picnic tables, tent
pads and water available year-round. Group size
limit is 10 people and 2 vehicles. Maximum RV length
is 28 feet. Fee is $15 per night. Squaw Flat typically
fills every day from late March through June and
again from early September to mid-October. All sites are first-come, first-served.

Ken's Lake Campground -
South of Moab, Utah
Ken's Lake is located 10 miles south of Moab. The campground
accommodates even the largest motorhomes. Hiking and
horseback trails originate at the campground. Fishing
in the reservoir is a popular activity. Boating on the
reservoir is limited to non-motorized craft. The views
from the campground feature the La Sal Mountains and
the redrock fins surrounding Moab.
Campgrounds
have picnic tables, vault toilets, grills, graveled
roads, and trash receptacles. There is
no drinking water at the campground.
Campsites are available on a first-come, first served
basis.
Camping at all sites is limited to 14 days within
a 30 day period.
Ken's
Lake is located 10 miles south of Moab. To get to Ken’s
Lake, drive seven miles south of Moab on U.S. Highway
191. Turn left (east) and follow the signs approximately
three miles to the lake.

Hittle Bottom Campground
Hittle
Bottom Campground is located 23 miles from the junction
of Highway 191. The campground accommodates large RVs
as well as tents. The Hittle Bottom boat ramp is the
starting point for the Colorado River "Daily." An
historic homestead is also located at the campground.

Goose Island Campground
Goose Island Campground is located 1.4 miles from the
junction of Highway 128 and Highway 191. The campsites
offer spectacular views of the Colorado River and massive
redrock cliffs of Arches National Park. Both RV and tent
camping are available. This campground is popular due
to its proximity to town, its shade during the summer,
and the beautiful scenery. There is no drinking water
available at Goose Island, but untreated (but tested)
water is available nearby at Matrimony Spring.

Gold Bar Campground

Bar Camping Area is located 10 miles from
the junction of Highway 191. Views up and down the Colorado
River are stunning. The Corona Arch Hiking Trail, a 1.5-mile
walk to two spectacular arches, is located across the
road from the camping area.

Horsethief Campground
Horsethief Campground is located on Highway 313, 12
miles from the junction of Highway 191. The campground
has 60 sites, including many sites adequate to accommodate
large RVs, and is near Dead Horse Point State Park and
the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National
Park.

Big Bend Campground
Big Bend Campground is located 7.5 miles from the junction
of Highway 191. Big Bend can accommodate large RVs, trailers,
and tents. Many of the sites are located next to the
Colorado River, and all are surrounded by imposing cliffs.
Big Bend has a sand beach, a river walkway, and features
accessible facilities. Drinking water is available at
Matrimony Spring, 6 miles downstream.
